Core Yoga
This class guides students through a creative core-strengthening sequence of postures combined with deep cleansing breath (pranayama). Special attention is paid to the abdomen, back, buttocks, hamstrings and hip flexors. Core yoga helps to support the body from the core outward while cleansing and toning the digestive system. Suitable for students of all levels looking for a challenge!
Restorative Yoga & Meditation
Restorative yoga is a deeply soothing, inward form of yoga. The body is placed in therapeutic positions that are supported by soft bolsters, cozy blankets and blocks while the mind is invited to slow down and the body encouraged to release deeply held tensions. Several longer held floor postures are practiced per class creating physiological responses that can be beneficial for your physical and mental health.
Different forms of meditation ~ yoga nidra, mindfulness and visualization ~ will be introduced in this class to help develop a balanced mental state. Come develop a mind and body that is stable, calm and harmonious!
Suitable for all levels of experience. Prior yoga experience is not needed.

Slow Flow
Move slowly and deliberately through sequences of refined postures and breathing techniques to focus attention and free our minds from the busyness of everyday life. Focus is on strength, flexibility and movement through standing, balance, floor and twisting postures. Suitable for all levels, especially for students wanting a slower paced class with posture modifications. Gentle Flow This class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility & strength using simple movements to increase range of motion of the major joints. Alignment principles, gentle breathing techniques, and basic poses will be taught at a slow pace with modifications for minor physical limitations. Occasional challenging postures are introduced for those looking to spice up their practice. Suitable for 50s+, those new to yoga, or for students who simply prefer a less strenuous class. Gentle Flow Mix same as above class, plus we mix it up every month by introducing different and varied aspects of yoga. |

Salute the sun with a smile and gracefully flow with your breath through a series of postures that work out your kinks and tightness preparing you for whatever your day has in store for you. You'll feel energized and be ready to flow through your day with ease. This class is adapted for all levels of experience. Some yoga experience is recommended. Basics & Beyond Yoga Postures are taught with focus on the finer points of alignment while linking the basic mechanics of the poses to breath. A moderately paced flow class with challenges added to the mix to enhance strength, balance and flexibility. This class will leave you feeling stronger, longer and calmer. Suitable for all levels, especially experienced beginners and intermediate students. Modifications are offered accordingly. |
